Miley Cyrus and Selena Gomez stunned in fire-engine red ensembles this week, though Nina Dobrev and Bella Thorne also held their own in short, sexy frocks. From Mexico to NYC, we saw a variety of styles, but celebs had one thing in common: they showed off their legs!

Nina paired her springlike frock with a metallic silver Lee Savage ‘Plane Space’ Clutch, silver ankle-strap pumps and Kwiat earrings. A rose by any other name would smell as sweet as Nina!

Miley Cyrus stepped out at the 2015 amfAR Inspiration Gala New York in NYC on June 16 in a signature Miley outfit, meaning it was show-stopping, with a hint of outrageous. The girl’s still “got nerve.” Miles evoked Alice in Wonderland‘s Red Queen in a bright red Moschino gown with a huge bow in the back and glittery heart decals. She topped off the look with matching red gloves, a heart-shaped clutch and heart-printed Doc Martens. We’re used to seeing Miley in loud outfits, but the fitted bustier and luxe material keep this look more red carpet appropriate. Bottom line: this works! At the same festival during MTV and Dimension TV’s Scream premiere on June 14, red carpet princess Bella Thorne looked chic and sleek in a black Mugler Pre-Fall 2015 Grommet-Detail Mini Dress minidress.

Across town, Nina Dobrev attended a screening of The Final Girls during the 2015 Los Angeles Film Festival in Los Angeles on June 16. She went for an ultra-feminine red, white and pink Monique Lhuillier Resort 2016 dress that featured a toile-inspired rose print.

Just a few days earlier, Selena Gomez looked chili pepper-hot at the photocall for Hotel Transylvania 2 in Cancun, Mexico on June 14. In a form-fitting blood red Katie Ermilio crop top and matching skirt, Sel had temperatures rising and heads turning as she flaunted her toned abs and legs. Like her fellow ex-Disney star, Selena’s outfit also featured a red bow, though hers was in the front for a bit of girly flair. Golden Christian Louboutin Gwinee Sandals were subtle enough that the focus was kept on her silky separates. Love it!
