Shiekh’s footwear selection includes athletic and casual shoes from staple athletic brands such as Adidas, Nike and New Balance, and lifestyle brands, including Creative Recreation and Onitsuka Tiger.

In addition to California, the retailer has locations in Oregon, Washington, Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, Illinois and Michigan.

West Coast-based retailer Shiekh Shoes has more than 100 storefronts throughout the country. On July 10, it will open another.

“Downtown [L.A.] has been bubbling for some time and now — it has arrived as the next hot spot for retail,” said Matt Fine, president of Shiekh Shoes. “This location on Broadway is perfectly suited to introduce the retail marketplace to the evolution of Shiekh Shoes and our new Legacy Level concept door.”

The newest Shiekh location will be in downtown Los Angeles, at 745 South Broadway, bringing the number of stores the retailer has in California to 80.

While the retailer already offers premium footwear, its Legacy Level store concept is new to Shiekh. It pays greater attention to detail in storytelling, from product lines to merchandising and marketing. One example is the Brand Jordan shop within the store, which will feature a display of the number 23 — synonymous with Michael Jordan — that is 6-feet 6-inches tall, Jordan’s height.
