Officers allegedly found a bundle of methamphetamine in each of his shoes.

Fierro was turned over to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents. He was arrested in connection with the failed smuggling attempt.
A Juárez man was recently arrested after he allegedly attempted to smuggle more than two pounds of methamphetamine into the United States in his shoes, officials said.
When officers asked Fierro to take off his shoes for inspection, he allegedly told them that he was carrying an unknown type of contraband in the sneakers, officials said.
