single dad becomes viral for asking his daughter for advice on fashion

When Carli Saville, 19, tweeted photos of his father Jeff trying on clothes for a date, he never thought it would become viral. But almost 6k retweets and 167,000 likes later, the Texan dad is in great demand. "I am asked a lot," Jeff says to Yahoo Lifestyle.

On July 6, Carli Saville, 19, of Friendswood, Texas, released a series of text messages from Jeff, seeking advice on what to wear for his next date. "Life with a single dad, who asks for advice on dad's clothes," he wrote. "My heart."

The photos show Jeff trying two different shirts, both hidden and dangling, with him greeting "Ciao" when his daughter presumably takes too long to respond.

When someone wrote, "Dinner with us if he brings an appointment", Carli shared, "Considering he got up I'm sure he'll be glad to hear it !!"

"I said," You're kidding me, "Jeff tells Yahoo Lifestyle about his reaction when Carli revealed his tweet. "I didn't even have a Twitter account, I didn't even know what Twitter was."

Jeff, who in his recently coined Twitter biography, "loving father who raises 4 beautiful girls in Christ", thinks that his fame could be destiny.

"I feel like God gave me some sort of platform, in a crazy way, to provide a message about how special a relationship is," says Jeff to Yahoo. "I know enough to be divorced and I know where I must be in my life now. I am still 30 or 40 years old and, if I'm lucky, I want to do it well."

People around the world now have a crush on Jeff, and women from Europe and Australia send him and Carlie photos of their moms on Twitter. "I am asked a lot," says Jeff. "But I am very deprived of this."

"It's unusual. It's fun. It's incredible," he adds. "I do not know what to say". Indeed, when Jeff entered a local restaurant on Friday night, the establishment burst into applause. "I almost fell to my knees," he says.

As for Carli, she's excited by her father's moment in the spotlight. "I hope you bring him a soul mate and someone who can bring him happiness for a lifetime," he tells Yahoo Lifestyle. "He deserves it more than anyone I know!"
