For more than six years, Bluetique has occupied the blue house at 212 S. Alcaniz in Pensacola. But next month, don't be surprised to find the expensive store in a new place called home.

"It will be difficult to leave," said Laura Belsinger, owner of Bluetique. "But there is so much on Palafox that the new location is something I couldn't let go of."

Regular customers will also be pleased to learn that the new location in Palafox Place 125 will still have the same atmosphere.

"We will certainly feel the same feeling," Belsinger said. "We will offer the same clothing lines and add new ones in the fall."

At Bluetique you will find a wide variety of gifts, shoes, accessories and clothing for women and children – and the new location will undoubtedly add more space to expand into its complete collection.

You may be familiar with the previous tenant of the new office, Meadows Jewelers. But before that, 125 Palafox Place had hosted restaurants, pharmacies and clothing stores as early as 1885.

"When we started renovating in mid-May, we had to completely demolish it," Belsinger said. "We ended up finding a lot of old bricks. I've always loved old buildings, so we'll preserve as much as possible."

For Belsinger, a new position also means welcoming new customers and expanding their business.

"I'm very excited," Belsinger said. "I hope that when they come in, they will say to themselves," what a friendly place. "My favorite thing about retail is meeting new people and making everyone feel at home."

Bluetique is currently located at 212 S. Alcaniz in Pensacola and is open Monday to Friday from 10am to 5.30pm. and Saturday from 10:00 to 17:00
